Level - Advanced players
Many 1.d4 players actually are quite often annoyed with 1...d6 Black response. 2.c4 e5 actually very reliable system for Black, while after 2.Nf3 not only you have to deal with 2...Bg4, but potentially you might be deprived of your favorite KID system for White since you have already committed for Nf3-move. Not many players can afford 2.e4, which requires the knowledge of different versions of Pirc and especially Filidor, that lately becomes more and more fashionable. That's why our suggestion is 2.Nc3. A major point of this Database is 2...Nf6 3.h3! with detailed coverage of different Pirc versions, as well as Black Filidor set-ups. It goes without saying, that 1.e4 players might find it useful as well thanks to Pirc coverage. The material presented in 6 chapters and introduction file. There are many novelties and new positions covered in this Database. Not only it can be a very nice, surprising weapon against 1...d6, but it also looks like very challenging variation.
